SOS-150: SELF ASSESSMENT AND CAREER EXPLORATION

Final Project

—Final Comprehensive Assessment There is no midterm or final proctored examination in this course.

Instead, a 5- to 7-page paper, described below, acts as your final assessment and is worth 20 percent of your grade. You should be working on this paper throughout the course, but you must submit it by the last day of the semester. Introduction As you have progressed through this course, it is hoped that you have learned a lot about yourself and about how you personally define, plan, and build your career. Career exploration is an ongoing process. You will want to revisit your personal career plan periodically to refine and update it. This paper serves as the final assessment for this course and should represent the synthesis of the knowledge and skills you have acquired. Instructions Your final paper should be 5 to 7 pages in length, and should include your answers to the questions listed below. Review your reading, your chapter exercises, and your written activities as you continue to refine this paper. Organize your thoughts, and answer all the questions. Your final assessment should be well developed and convey your understanding of the readings and concepts. It should also adequately answer the questions. Your paper should be organized, coherent, and unified; it should also be free of spelling and grammatical errors. If you need help in writing such a paper, take a look at The Writing Center: University of Wisconsin-Madison.
